My newest 3D E-design client asked me to help her update her country living room. Her current room (that they have had for years) was deep burgundy and beige/greens. She wanted to update the space and make it more light and bright. Here is a before picture of her space.
And THE AFTER. . . . . .
She previously picked out some artwork for the space. I used the artwork to help guide me in a color scheme for the room. The artwork she selected had tones beige blue and yellow green.
The geometric pillow has tiny yellow/green dots in the fabric that coordinate well with the pops of yellow/green in the art. Just a little of that color can go a long way. (See close up of fabrics below).
This was actually the second storyboard I presented to my client. The first had a white sectional, floral traditional rug and a slightly different color scheme. My client provided feedback that she wasn't sure about a sectional and was worried about a white sofa in her main family room. In addition the first storyboard was slightly over budget. We decided to try a sofa and loveseat and saved money on a different style rug (grey border rug above) and more budget friendly curtains , and coffee table. (The white curtains in above storyboard are from Ikea)!
Here is a look at the first storyboard that was presented to my client. Sometimes it takes a few adjustments to get it just right.
